We'd love for more people to know about this case, so spreading information as far as possible would help us immensely. This case isn't an isolated incident, it's part of a campaign of repression against behavior that contradicts the morality of the economy. From the RNC 8 to housing advocates in New Orleans, people across the country are being threatened with incarceration for simply taking action against the insanity of this system.

Prison Restrictions:

Please understand that "The facility's mailroom staff shall open and inspect all incoming and outgoing correspondence"

Danny may not:

  1. send or receive photographs containing nudity.
  2. send or receive battery-operated greeting cards.
  3. correspond with another inmate, former inmate
  4. correspond with a current or former employee
  5. send or receive correspondence containing threatening or obscene materials, as well as correspondence containing criminal solicitations or furthering a criminal plan or misconduct offense
  6. send or receive "bill-me-later" or free gift transactions
  7. receive correspondence or homemade artwork in correspondence that has any item affixed to it (excluding a mailing label that is affixed to the envelope) with glue or other types of adhesives, including tape. An unaltered, commercially manufactured greeting card, other than a battery operated greeting card, will be permitted.

Also note that:

"Internet pages, news clippings/articles, etc. shall be deemed to have come from an original source. The content of these items (excluding publications) shall be reviewed by the mailroom to ensure the content is acceptable in accordance with this policy."

Visiting Danny:

Please use good judgment and discretion in dress and behavior so as not to embarrass others in the visiting room. Keep children under control. Failure to do so may result in early termination of your visit.

Ex-offenders must have prior written approval from the Superintendent to visit any inmate.

Do not bring any kind of gift to the institution. Remember, inmates are not permitted to take anything from the visiting area.

Food may not be taken into the institution. Sandwiches, candy and soft drinks may be purchased and consumed in the visiting room area. Smoking is prohibited throughout the Visiting Area.

Any visitor appearing to be under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance will not be permitted to enter the institution.

All inmates are informed of changes that may occur in visiting regulations. It is the responsibility of each inmate to inform his visitor of these changes.

Please remember that any violation of visiting regulations may result in the suspension of visiting privileges.

Please remember: Danny owes fines and a percentage of any money you deposit (regardless if it is electronically deposited) may go to paying his or her debt in accordance with DC-ADM-005.

Emailing Danny:

  1. Go to the vendor website that services the institution where the inmate is housed.
  2. Establish an account with that vendor and follow their instructions to create an email.
  3. All emails are subject to review for appropriate content. After review, the email will be printed on paper and delivered to the inmate.
  4. Any response from the inmate will be mailed out using regular U.S. Postal Service mail.
  5. Inmates do NOT have access to any outgoing email programs.
